Options for Exercising with Parkinson’s
These local individuals lead classes, but each has a different setup and some may work with clients privately so contact them for details. All are familiar with the movement challenges of Parkinson’s.
Big Announcement!
PCCNM proudly presents our new Exercise Program, supported by a Community Grant from the Parkinson’s Foundation, made possible thanks to the generosity of the estate of Stanley and Gloria Brams.
Beginning in August, anyone living with Parkinson’s disease and their care partner can participate in our exercise program FREE of charge.
Exercise is one of the most effective ways to help manage Parkinson’s symptoms. Physical activity can improve balance, mobility, strength, flexibility, and overall quality of life.
Our classes will be taught by Vickie Aigner and her team from Alive Fit and Free. Vickie is the founder of Neuro Up for Parkinson’s — a joyful brain-body fitness class that blends targeted movement, rhythm, breathwork, and voice work to support mobility, balance, coordination, and everyday confidence for people living with Parkinson’s.
Class Date Are:
- Monday and Wednesdays – North Domingo Baca Multigenerational Center 8:15-9:15 am
- Tuesday and Thursdays – Manzano Mesa Multigenerational Center 10-11am
